asked the President of the Board of Trade why sisal grown in British East African territories is being sold by his Department to U.S. buyers at £53 f.o.b and to continental buyers at £61 per ton c.i.f., whereas Portuguese sisal of no better quality is being sold at approximately £90 per ton; and what action he proposes to take.
