Fraserasked the Minister of Health whether he will consider issuing instructions to local authorities, especially rural councils, to deal, where possible, with housing applicants on an area basis and not on a parish basis to ensure that the worst cases in a local government area receive priority.
§ Mr. BevanThe letting of houses is by statute vested in the local authorities who are by their local knowledge in the best position to weigh the various factors relevant in particular cases.
