HC Deb 25 February 1947 vol 433 c266W
97. Mr. Lipson

asked the Minister of Labour if lodging allowances will be paid to workers temporarily unemployed owing to the fuel shortage, whose places of employment are not in the towns where their homes are situated, and who have to pay for their lodgings during the stoppage.

Mr. Isaacs

Yes, Sir, provided the workers were in receipt of lodging allowances from my Department before the stoppage, and remain in the area of transfer.
