HC Deb 12 February 1947 vol 433 c71W
105. Mr. W. Ross

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he is aware that in South-west Scotland reception of the present transmissions of the B.B.C. Light Programme is unsatisfactory; and what steps he is taking to effect improvement in the reception of these transmissions in this area.

Mr. Burke

No, Sir. Good reception of the B.B.C. Light Programme can be obtained in South-west Scotland on the long wavelength of 1,500 metres if suitable and efficient receivers and aerials are used.
