HC Deb 12 February 1947 vol 433 cc58-9W
110. Mr. Lipson

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that mail posted by R.A.F. personnel stationed at Buckeburg, N., Germany, has taken five weeks to reach this country; and if he will take steps to remove this delay which is causing anxiety to their families at home.

Mr. J. Freeman

I am not aware of any such delays, as letters from Buckeburg should only take about two days to reach this country. I am, however, making inquiries on the basis of the information recently sent by the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air.
