86. Mr. Scott-Elliotasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he is taking to encourage the distribution overseas of films made by industrial concerns demonstrating the achievements of British industry.
§ Mr. BelcherArrangements for the overseas distribution of officially sponsored industrial films produced by the Central Office of Information, are made through the information officers attached to His Majesty's Embassies and Legations, and through United Kingdom information officers in the Empire. These officers will assist as far as possible with the distribu-44W tion of industrial films produced privately, provided the quality is high enough and their appeal sufficiently general. To this end it would be helpful if the Overseas Information Division of the Board of Trade could be told of any suitable films which industry has already produced, and given advance information about forthcoming productions.
