Jeffreysasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total annual sum required in order to restore to all ex-civil servants, whose pensions were stabilised in 1935, the amounts by which their pensions, after the coming into force of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1944, and the Pensions (Increase) Bill, now before Parliament, will still fall short of the rates at which they stood before those rates were reduced on account of the fall in the cost of living.
