asked the Minister of Transport how many passenger ships are now requisitioned; and how many have been released since VJ-Day.

111 British passenger ships of all types and sizes were still on requisition on 31st January, of which 49 were undergoing reconditioning prior to redelivery to their owners. 121 British passenger ships have been released since VJ-Day.
