Colonel Hutchisonasked the President of the Board of Trade how many regional boards there are in Scotland; and how many applications were made for help of advice to each of them in 1946.
§ Sir S. CrippsPresumably the hon. and gallant Member is referring to the Regional Boards for Industry, of which one is in Scotland. The Scottish Board is served by six district committees, consisting of representatives from both sides of industry. These committees advise the Regional Board upon industrial conditions in their districts. Information as to how many applications were made for help and advice in 1946 is not available.
