§ Sir S. CrippsTwo thousand and sixty-six new factories and extensions to existing factories were approved in Great Britain during 1946. These building projects, when completed and in full production, should provide employment for approximately 246,000 workers. Of the total number of projects, 774, with an employment value amounting to approximately 141,000 workers, were in the development areas and 342, with an employment value of approximately 49,600, in Scotland.
