HC Deb 03 February 1947 vol 432 c273W
2. Colonel Gomme-Duncan

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is now in a position to say what safeguards are to be provided for, and what prospects of employment are to be offered to, British officers, Gurkha officers and Gurkha other ranks of the Gurkha Brigade under the new proposals for the Indianisation of the Indian Army.

Mr. A. Henderson

Pending discussions which it is hoped will shortly take place between His Majesty's Government and the Government of India I regret I am not in a position to add to the reply I gave the hon. and gallant Member on 24th June, 1946.
