Mr. H. D. Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has considered a proposal that a delegation of Members of Parliament should visit the British zones of Germany and Austria, to report on the problem of displaced persons in these zones in its international aspect; and whether arrangements will now be made for this visit to take place.

Yes, Sir. At the request of His Majesty's Government the hon. Members for Uxbridge (Mr. Beswick), for North Wembley (Mr. Hobson), and for Lewes (Major Beamish) are making such a visit, and arrangements have been made for them to leave on 4th February.
