Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has considered a proposal that a delegation of Members of Parliament should visit the British zones of Germany and Austria, to report on the problem of displaced persons in these zones in its international aspect; and whether arrangements will now be made for this visit to take place.
§ Mr. MayhewYes, Sir. At the request of His Majesty's Government the hon. Members for Uxbridge (Mr. Beswick), for North Wembley (Mr. Hobson), and for Lewes (Major Beamish) are making such a visit, and arrangements have been made for them to leave on 4th February.
