HC Deb 03 February 1947 vol 432 c285W
94. Commander Noble

asked the Minister of Transport when he requested the London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee to examine the means for relieving congestion in the streets of London; and whether any recommendations have yet been received from this committee.

Mr. Barnes

I met the members of the London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee on 7th November last and asked them to give special attention to the traffic problems in central London. Since that date a number of recommendations of a minor character have been received from the committee, to which effect is being given. It must, I am afraid, be some little time before the committee will be in a position to advise me of their major recommendations.
