HC Deb 19 December 1947 vol 445 c433W
Mr. Cocks

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any statement to make in regard to the present situation in Siam.

Mr. Mayhew

His Majesty's Government, who are naturally anxious about any occurrence which might compromise the restoration of stability in South-East Asia, have been following with attention the political developments which have taken place in Siam as a result of thecoup d' état of 9th November. They are exchanging views and maintaining close contact with the other Governments concerned in regard to this question.
