asked His Majesty's Government what arrangements have been made for the disbursement of pensions and other Service dues in this country to European officers of the Burma Services after the transfer of power.

The SECRETARY OF STATE FOR BURMA (THE EARL OF LISTOWEL)

It has been agreed between His Majesty's Government and the Government of Burma that pensions, leave pay, and other payments to civil officers residing outside Burma, India and Pakistan, hitherto paid by the High Commissioner for India on behalf of the Government of Burma, shall, after the transfer of power, be disbursed by the Accountant-General, Commonwealth Relations Office, 28, King's Road, London, S.W.3, as agent for the Government of Burma.
