Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Health what is the total sum allowed under his policy of cutting capital expenditure for building costs, including provision of health centres, hospitals, research laboratories, accommodation for nursing staff, residential medical staff, and private patients, required to fulfil the undertakings of the N.H.S. Act, 1946; and what proportion of this allotted sum will be expendable by the date appointed for the operation of the Act, July, 1948.
