HC Deb 02 April 1947 vol 435 cc325-6W
95. Mr. Rankin

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will consider appointing a West Indian to serve on the commission to investigate possibilities of settlement in British Guiana and British Honduras.

Mr. Creech Jones

This commission is primarily a fact finding body, and it is not intended that its members should be regarded as representing particular geographical or other interests. The personnel will however include men intimately acquainted with the problems of the West Indies and I have added Mr. C. W. W. Greenidge who has wide experience in these Colonies.
