§ Mr. BevanIn England and Wales one district heating scheme is being installed on a local authority housing estate and 141W three others have been approved in principle. A circular is being sent to local authorities generally informing them that I am prepared to entertain proposals for district heating on their housing estates and my officers will, where appropriate, urge local authorities to consider this method of heating.
