asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the approximate total assets held by the Welsh Church Commissioners will be after the end of this year when they will have completed their main distribution; what personnel will be employed; and what is the estimated cost of maintaining the department for another year.

The approximate total assets held by the Welsh Commissioners at the end of 1946, after the main distribution has been made, will be £33,000. The personnel of the Commission during 1947 will consist of three Commissioners, of whom two are paid, with a staff of eight, and the estimated cost of maintaining the Commission for another year is £24,000, of which £6,300 represent salaries and £11,500 gratuities to staff on termination of employment.
