HC Deb 30 October 1946 vol 428 c106W
94. Dr. Segal

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what numbers of recruits have been added to the Palestine Police during each of the first three quarterly periods of 1946; and what was the number of applications received during these periods.

Mr. Creech Jones

I assume that my hon. Friend's Question relates only to recruitment in the United Kingdom for the British Section of the Palestine Police. The figures for the first three quarters of 1946 are as follows: Recruits appointed 210; 258; 269. Applications received 1,340; 1,614; 7,358.
