HC Deb 30 October 1946 vol 428 cc91-2W
56. Air-Commodore Harvey

asked the Minister of Food how many British fishing vessels have landed herring at German ports between January, 1946, and 15th October, 1946.

Mr. Strachey

None, Sir; but 25 shipments of klondyked herrings, amounting to some 6,000 tons, have been made to Germany by carrier vessel since June; I expect that further shipments will be made during the present East Anglian season.
