HC Deb 30 October 1946 vol 428 cc113-4W
Sir R. Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for War how many Poles who served in the British Army, R.N. or R.A.F. during the war have now been included in the Polish Corps in this country; and whether these Polish officers and men are subject to identical conditions of service as those who served under General Anders' command or whether their service in the British Forces is taken into special consideration.

Mr. Bellenger

Poles who served in the British Army, R.N. or R.A.F. during the 1939–45 war are not eligible for commissioning or enlistment into the Polish Resettlement Corps. They are subject to release or discharge under the same conditions as British troops.
