HC Deb 29 October 1946 vol 428 cc60-1W
36. Mr. Neal

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he has obtained information from the Dominions relating to methods of dust suppression in mining; and to what extent he proposes to adopt them in British mines.

Mr. Shinwell

My technical advisers keep in touch with developments in the Dominions of methods of dust suppression in mining and are always ready to investigate improvements in technique. I am advised, however, that the measures adopted in this country are at present considered to be at least the equal of those in operation elsewhere.
