Mr. Manningasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that housing authorities in the area served by the South Metropolitan Gas Company were experiencing difficulties in letting requisitioned war-damaged repaired houses by the shortage of cookers and lighting fittings; that families with young children or aged people accepting the accommodation offered suffer hardship and run dangers through the absence of lighting; and if he will indicate the steps he proposes to take to ameliorate these conditions.
§ Mr. BevanI am having inquiries made and will write to my hon. Friend as soon as they are completed.
