HC Deb 28 October 1946 vol 428 c49W
Mr. Manning

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that housing authorities in the area served by the South Metropolitan Gas Company were experiencing difficulties in letting requisitioned war-damaged repaired houses by the shortage of cookers and lighting fittings; that families with young children or aged people accepting the accommodation offered suffer hardship and run dangers through the absence of lighting; and if he will indicate the steps he proposes to take to ameliorate these conditions.

Mr. Bevan

I am having inquiries made and will write to my hon. Friend as soon as they are completed.
