Mr. W. J. Brown

asked the President of the Board of Trade what are the duties of Mr. N. Blond in his Department; what salary or allowance he receives from public funds; and what association he maintains with any outside commercial or industrial concern.

Mr. Neville Blond is a temporary assistant secretary in the branch of the Priorities Division of the Board of Trade which is concerned with the removal of obstacles in the way of development of export trade. He receives no salary or allowance from public funds. He is associated with two family businesses, namely, Messrs. Blond Brothers and Fitwell, Ltd., but he takes no active part in the day to day management of those businesses.
