§ 44. Mr. Burdenasked the Minister of Supply for what reason the Highfield Tool Works, Little London Road, Sheffield, was closed on 4th January, 1946; and, in view of the demand for tools, etc., what steps he proposes to take to reopen the works.
§ Mr. WilmotThe Highfield Tool Works were requisitioned by the Minister of Supply in August, 1942. It was decided to relinquish control of the factory from the end of last year, as we no longer needed the capacity.
