HC Deb 21 November 1946 vol 430 cc182-3W
Mr. Symonds

asked the Secretary of State for Air, in view of the closing of service hostels in Cambridge, what transport arrangements he is making to convey to their stations around Cambridge, R.A.F. personnel who may find themselves stranded there because of the late arrival of trains and other unforeseen circumstances.

Mr. de Freitas

If a man is unable to report to his unit in time he must inform his orderly officer either directly or through the local military or civil police. The orderly officer will then decide whether service transport can be provided; if not, the local police will give advice on where to spend the night.
