138. Mr. Baldwinasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps are being taken to expedite the delivery of poles to electricity companies in order that light and power may be provided to rural areas.
§ Mr. BelcherAll practicable steps are being taken to obtain as many poles as possible, from home sources and from countries overseas, for all essential requirements, including the electricity supply industry. Any question as to how the Electricity Commission use the allocation of poles made to them should be addressed to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Fuel and Power.
