Mr. Eric Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that 13096837 Private Royston Ingram, 103 Army Fire Fighting, 93 Brigade, R.A.S.C., B.A.O.R., who was due for demobilisation on 17th August, 1946, was arrested on that day in Germany for having married a German girl without the consent of his commanding officer, and has since been detained in the guardroom for 34 days without any trial; and what steps he is proposing to take.
