§ 122. Mr. Dribergasked the Secretary of State for War if he has considered the farewell statement issued in Rome by General Anders, of which a copy has been sent to him, to the effect that he and his soldiers would continue while in Britain to work and conduct propaganda against the present Polish Government; and what steps he proposes to take to prevent these aliens from engaging in subversive political agitation while enjoying the hospitality of this country.
§ Mr. J. FreemanI have not seen the statement referred to and have no knowledge of it other than from the newspaper report sent by my hon. Friend. It is made quite clear to Poles who join the Resettlement Corps as officers and other ranks that they are subject to British military law and are, therefore, debarred from political activity while serving in the Corps.
