HC Deb 04 November 1946 vol 428 cc184-5W
116. Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Food whether the Combined Food Board in Washington have made any special allocation of oils and fats needed for paint to countries that have suffered severely from bombing or fighting.

Dr. Edith Summerskill

There has been no international allocation for specific industrial usage such as paint production. I can assure my hon. Friend however that the seriousness of the housing problem in the countries which have suffered severely through bombing and fighting has been frequently emphasised to the Combined Food Board and its successor the International Emergency Food Council.
