§ Captain Bullockasked the Minister of Fuel and Power how the arrangements for supplying petrol to French tourists visiting this country compare with those available for British tourists visiting France; and whether, since it is impossible for a French tourist to use his motor car effectively in this country on a basic ration, he will make arrangements to provide some supplementary ration for tourist visits, as well as business visits, as is done for British tourists in France.
§ Mr. ShinwellI would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answer I gave to a similar question by him on 14th May. I regret that under present conditions I do not feel able to agree to the grant of supplementary allowances to tourists except for business purposes.
