HC Deb 21 May 1946 vol 423 c45W
87. Mr. O. Poole

asked the Minister of Works how soon after 8th June the barbed wire entanglements and other obstructions now being erected in Kensington Gardens, in connection with the Victory Parade, will be removed.

Mr. Tomlinson

The removal of the camp in Kensington Gardens, including the barbed wire fences, will begin as soon as the camp has been vacated by the contingents occupying it. The exact date will depend on the date of the return passages of the Dominion, Colonial and Allied detachments, but it is hoped to start the work about the middle of June.
