HC Deb 15 May 1946 vol 422 c247W
121. Lieut.-Colonel Thorp

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air how much agricultural land his Department has requisitioned in the constituency of Berwick-on-Tweed; and how much has been handed back, up to the nearest convenient date, for agricultural purposes.

Mr. Strachey:

Altogether the Air Ministry requisitioned approximately 2,150 acres of agricultural land in this area. At the end of April some 1,900 acres had either been derequisitioned, or handed over to the agricultural executive committee for farming.
