128. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air the sum paid by the Air Ministry to Scottish Civil Aviation, Limited, for the catering at Prestwick airport during the war.

Mr. Strachey:

This Air Ministry wartime catering contract was mainly concerned with the messing of airmen stationed at Prestwick. From July, 1941, until the end of the war the total payments amounted to some £245,000.
