HC Deb 15 May 1946 vol 422 c241W
110. Major Digby

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what leave is given to naval ratings serving in the R.N.A. Hospital, Southport, and how this compares with other naval establishments.

Mr. Dugdale:

The normal standard of leave for Naval ratings in shore establishments at home is nine days every four months, and three interim periods a year of 48 hours or long week-ends; that is a total of 33 days a year. The leave granted to the staff at the Royal Naval Auxiliary Hospital, Southport, has recently averaged slightly more.
