asked the Secretary of State for War to the latest convenient date, the numbers of the members of the three Services on indefinite leave with pay; and if he will give the figures for the R.N., Fleet Air Arm, Army and R.A.F., separately.

Mr. Bellenger:

I regret that complete information is not readily available for the three Services, and could not be obtained without a good deal of research. I can, however, assure the hon. Member that all these concerned are either ex-prisoners of war who are not yet fit or personnel who have been allowed to remain temporarily on leave for some other special and good reason.
