asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether it is the policy of his Department to continue to prohibit building in the Green Belt.

Mr. Silkin:

I would refer the hon. Member to the statement about the planning of London, which I made in this House on 5th March. The policy of His Majesty's Government set out in that statement with regard to the Green Belt remains unchanged.
