asked the Minister of Works what steps are being taken to collect bricks put down in the countryside during the war as a precaution against enemy aircraft landings, so that stocks may be used for building purposes.

Mr. Tomlinson:

While I am not hopeful of obtaining substantial quantities of bricks from these sources, I am arranging for them to be inspected. If they are suitable as bricks, they will be made available where required as soon as possible.
