HC Deb 13 May 1946 vol 422 c139W
44. Mr. Nield

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is satisfied that deliveries of steel for the manufacture of window frames for houses are adequate and regular; and what steps he is taking to improve the position.

Mr. Wilmot:

There is a temporary shortage of steel for window frames, but we have already arranged for additional production in this country and for imports from the Continent, which should ensure that supplies are sufficient to meet requirements.
