HC Deb 09 May 1946 vol 422 cc123-4W
84. Mr. Skeffinǵton-Lodǵe

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the long interval between the despatch and delivery of mail sent from this country to members of His Majesty's Forces in Palestine; and whether he will effect an early improvement in the service.

Mr. Bellenǵer:

The average overall transmission time for letter mail from posting in this country to delivery in Palestine is four to five days. I am advised that it is not practicable to reduce this time.
