§ 84. Mr. Toucheasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that some companies have recently increased the price of all hearing aid batteries, but not the standard range of wireless and torch batteries; and, in view of the hardship that this involves on deaf persons, if he will make a statement on the subject.
§ Mr. Belcher:I am informed that this is the first increase in the price of these batteries since before the war, though there have been previous increases in the price of torch and wireless batteries. I have asked the Central Price Regulation Committee to make inquiries.
