asked the Minister of Works why Pulford's Buildings, White chapel, Liverpool, formerly occupied by the American Red Cross, but now vacated and empty, has not been derequisitioned

Mr. Tomlinson:

Pulford's Buildings, Liverpool, are urgently required for a blood transfusion centre serving all the Merseyside hospitals, and will shortly be adapted for that purpose. My hon. Friend is doubtless aware that the present owners acquired the premises while they were under requisition.
