asked the Under-Secretary of State for India when he expects to be able to reply to the communication of the hon. Member for Crewe dated 11th March 1946, acknowledged 13th March, 1946, relating to the case of Mr. A. L. Legon, of 20, Camon Street, Crewe.

Mr. A. Henderson:

The case of Mr. Legon is linked with similar complaints from other foremen and assistant foremen. I have been in communication with the Government of India on the general questions involved, and hope soon to send my hon. Friend a complete reply.
