HC Deb 22 March 1946 vol 420 c428W
Sir E. Graham-Little

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General, as representing the Ministry of Information, if he will arrange for the publication in the "British Ally" circulated in the U.S.S.R., of a full statement of the cost in ships and men sustained in our efforts to supply the U.S.S.R. with war equipment.

Mr. Burke

The "British Ally" has regularly carried information on this important phase of the war effort, and in particular the detailed figures of losses on these convoys given by my right hon. Friend, the First Lord of the Admiralty, in March, 1945. The full text of his reply to a Question on this subject by the hon. and gallant Member for New Forest and Christchurch (Colonel Crosthwaite-Eyre) on 13th of this month has also been sent, and the "British Ally" will continue to give full publicity to all material available on the subject.
