§ Mr. Ness EdwardsThis return is rendered by employers in the food, drink and tobacco, textile, clothing, leather, wood, paper and other industries manufacturing mainly for civilian consumption. These industries are now being built up and it is essential that returns of the numbers employed should be rendered at monthly intervals in order that the Government and the country may have up to date information of the progress achieved.
