§ Mr. Glenvil HallI have been asked to reply. The amount is not known. The Anglo-French Financial Arrangements of 29th April, 1946, contained in Command Paper 6809, provided for the use of French-owned sterling securities to cover French sterling needs. These arrangements are being carried out. We are in constant and friendly touch with the French on these matters.
