§ Colonel Crosthwaite-Eyreasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the damage done by foul brood, he will consider amending the Foul Brood Disease of Bees Order (1942) to make it compulsory upon beekeepers to notify this disease.
§ Mr. T. Williams:The hon. and gallant Member's suggestion has already been carefully considered by the Bee Disease Advisory Committee, which has advised me that, as Foul Brood Disease cannot be definitely recognised by the ordinary beekeeper, it would be impracticable to insist on compulsory notification.
