§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the widespread dissatisfaction in Scotland at the concentration there of so many of our Polish Allies; if he will have regard to the social and economic consequences of this concentration; and if he will take steps in conjunction with other appropriate Ministers to have them transferred elewhere.
§ Mr. WestwoodI have had representations and seen statements in the Press expressing dissatisfaction at the presence of Polish troops in Scotland, but I am informed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War that the numbers of such troops stationed in Scotland have decreased substantially. I am keeping in the closest touch with the other Ministers concerned as to the position.
