HC Deb 26 February 1946 vol 419 cc365-6W
Mr. T. Macpherson

asked the Secretary of State for War what arrangements exist for giving local leave to N.C.Os. and men in No. 2 Supply Company, R.A.S.C. (Lt.) S.E.A.C., in view of the fact that periodic local leave and rest, especially when active operations have ceased, is necessary in the interests of health.

Mr. Lawson

Overseas Commands (except B.A.O.R.) may at their discretion grant up to 28 days local leave annually. There are organised leave centres in S.E.A.C. in which local leave can be spent. British troops stationed in Burma are permitted to take local leave in leave stations in India.
